No more cutting, slicing, mashing, grating or grinding anything manually ever again, this only applies if you have a food processor, my friends have been complaining about how their food processors are so big and take up so much space, while others have been saying that theirs are too small and too weak to handle tough ingredients, so I was entirely puzzled and took it to myself to find the most versatile and capable processor which does not evict other appliances of your counter just because of its size.
My search has led me to the Cuisinart DLC-10S, being quite acquainted with Cuisinart I just jumped right into buying this food processor, I didn’t give it much thought aside the regular reading of online comments and details on the site, I ordered it on Amazon for a cheap $100, that was also why I didn’t give much thought into it, since it was considerably affordable.

In the Box
I found everything which I had been expecting to find in the box, the steel blade for chopping and making any dry ingredients into a powdery heap, the dough blade for kneading dough (this was a first), the slicing disc for slicing obviously, and the shredding disk. It also comes with a little paddle like spoon for stirring and the pushing thing. The unit also comes with a compact lid to replace the feed tube; this is great if you don’t like the unit towering over your counter. Another thing about the feed tube is that you can remove the top cap which will let you place even more things inside it, this lets me get more done in a shorter amount of time, what a thrill.
The design of the entire thing looks okay, not too bland or too extravagant either; it’s just one of those things you expect to see in a kitchen, all white with some stainless steel attachments and a see through jar. So after setting up the Cuisinart DLC-10S (which was not difficult at all) I began putting it to good use, first with my personal food processor test, the celery slice.
Performed Well
Here I am looking for even and uniformed slices, and also to test the ability of the unit and its slicing disk. So I pushed down 3 sticks of celery all at once and it turned out great, but I was not impressed yet, so I traded the celery for some potatoes, and we all know what a pain these starchy tubers can be to have them in uniformed slices, so I pushed down a large one and the slices came out thin, but some were a little disfigured.
Now the bread kneading appliance was something very new to me, so I decided to make a simple wheat based dough and instead of pounding and kneading it myself I used the processor, and it was kneading away quite well, I did notice that the motor was having a little strain from the tough dough, but in the end it came out quite well.
So the best part about this processor which I like is the switch, although it’s not the two large paddle like ones which they have on the older processors, one for on and one for off, you have a small paddle, on at the top, off at the middle and pulse at the bottom, I did wish off was at the top so that when I have the unit running I can just push it down a little more to initiate pulse.
Overall Cuisinart DLC-10S is an affordable food processor and the size is not all that big, this is suitable for those living in a regular sized home and need something to speed up the process of cutting chopping and kneading.
